Radiant Floor Heating - Total comfort from head to toe.

Radiant floor heating is a logical decision for families who are tired of the drafts and cold spots common with traditional forced-air heating. Radiant floor heating is the right decision for every family who wants to live in total comfort form head to toe.

Why our radiant floor heating systems are so comfortable. Why do Radiant Floor Systems feel so comfortable? The answer is simple. We create a warm surface by pumping heated water through plastic pipe mounted inthe floor. This method is known as Hydronic Radiant Floor Heating (HRF).

How does Radiant Floor Heating work? Often, a high tech boiler heats water that is pumped through the plastic tubing, turning the floors into a large, low temperature radiator. Other heated water sources can include hot water heaters, waste heat recovery systems or solar hot water heating. The heated water in the pipes transfers heat evenly and quietly from the floor. This placement eliminates cold feet and dramatically reduces the heat stratification associated with forced air heat. And, because comfort is a function of the mean radiant surface temperature of all surfaces in a room, most people find they are comfortable with a lower ambient air temperature, since the floor and other surfaces are radiating at a higher average temperature. Bottom line- Lower set points save energy.

Why are Radiant Floors so popular? In Europe or cold climates, energy is very expensive, so the operating cost advantage of HRF systems is obvious. These areas have set the standard for heating technology because they need the most effective, least expensive source of heat. It is no surprise that HRF is growing in popularity at an amazing rate as people get to experience the comfort and efficiency of a warm floor.
